You have a real responsibility in managing Jurassic Park in its Spielberg setting and time period, without its use of some modern, post-modern play modes. This mode challenges players to correct their past mistakes. While the strategy in Jurassic World Evolution 2 is floppy and feels like a glorified tutorial, real action takes place in the new Chaos Theory mode. Although punishing and possibly erratic, the game catches with the ability of players to take over the movie parks and see how they would run it differently. Put fossils into living creatures, keep your employees happy, so that you don’t get Dennis Nedryd, and put that shirtshop right next to the velociraptors.

Even if you’re young, a Jurassic World Evolution 2 allows you to start your own Jurassic Park (or Jurassic Worlds, if you want the sequels). If you played the dinosaur expansion pack for Zoo Tycoon back in the day, you’ll understand what I mean. The Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the sequel to the most impressive park simulator of the last few years. Like famously said in Jurassic Park, life is a path, right? Building my dinosaur zoo in Jurassic World Evolution 2 felt like a long period of memory. I’m not sure I have no right to fight nature with my strategically placed pond, guest pathing, attraction, and boba shop. These prehistoric creatures have no right to exist on our planet anymore.

I told myself in a loud way or cried in my office during the hardest part of Jurassic World Evolution 2.
